How NOT to Interview For a J.O.B.

 Do You Interview…?

Do you interview to work for someone else’s dreams?  Have you ever considered starting your own business through network marketing or internet marketing?  What would it be like to get paid what you’re worth, not what a J.O.B. is worth?  J.O.B. can be best defined as Just Over Broke.  Are you working for the 40-40-40 club?  $40k/year for 40 years for a $40 dollar watch…  Below I will share some things you do NOT want to ask for at a traditional J.O.B interview.

Stop Interviewing and Start Producing

If you already own your own network marketing company and treat it as a hobby, continuing to work at your job, you may have still have some beliefs you require to overcome.  You probably unconsciously still believe some things you heard as a child such as…

• You have to work hard at your job to be successful.
• Network marketing is a pyramid scheme.
• Sales people are sneaky.
• Those rich people are snobby.
• Go to college so you can get a good job.

 

Maybe it’s time to really change your paradigm and start building your OWN dream!  Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, and Warren Buffet all agree network marketing is the place to be.  Robert Kiyosaki even wrote a book about network marketing titled The Business of the 21st Century.  The business of network marketing has created more millionaires in the past 40 years than any other industry.  Start treating Your business like the million dollar business it IS!  Stop trading time for dollars like you do at your J.O.B…and start trading Profit for Results.

Don’t Ask For These Things During An Interview

A potential employer would think the below requests are hilarious…or offensive.  In network marketing they are standard.  Some things you can ask for ask for, and receive, from my primary company:

1. I want a 20% commission on everything I sell and as I improve I want that percentage to significantly increase.
2. I expect a FREE BMW once I am a top producer.
3. I want my product free after having only 3 customers.
4. I want you to provide me with a website, free online training and leadership training in great places to include California, and Florida.  Oh, and if I do well enough I want the founder of the company to come visit me.
5. I would like the opportunity to rapidly advance in the company, but at my own pace.
6. When I do well, I want lots of praise and recognition, free products, special awards, free trips to tropical destinations, and…..CASH BONUSES!
7. I would like my friends and family to work here.  I do not want any negative people to work here.
8. I will set my own schedule and only work when it suits me and my family.

Moving Forward

Duplication

Duplication in Network Marketing

How are you doing in your business?  Has your business stalled because very few people you have enrolled, have enrolled someone themselves?  There is a very good chance this is because what you are doing is not duplicable.  If you want to have the long term leveraged income that is so sought after in this industry…duplication is crucial.

What is Duplication and How Do I Duplicate?

Duplication is someone doing the same thing you have done, the same way you did it.  If you enrolled someone by asking them if they were open to a side project and sent them to your company’s website…there is a good chance they will do the same with their prospects.  If you create a very complex recruiting system and attempt to reinvent the wheel…your team members will probably do the same.  You must plug into your company’s simple system and stick to it.  As you build a huge organization, you will know it is being done the same way 10 levels down.  Duplication must be an easy process, as one of the biggest reasons people don’t get started in mlm, is they believe they can’t do it.  If you share the opportunity with them in a simple manner, they will unconsciously see they can do the same!  Training is something that also must be duplicable.

 

An Example of Duplication in True Form

Check out the picture to the right!  My fiancee’s daughter, Destiny, is a future network marketing ROCKSTAR.  She is 6 years old and is a sponge…she already gets entrepreneurship.  I was looking at her pictures last night, she is an artist too, and I came across this paper.  She is duplicating what my fiancee, Donyel, and I are doing in network marketing!  Now I’m just waiting for a call from her kindergarten teacher asking what business she is running and signing her friends/classmates up for.  Can you imagine if you had been introduced to this wonderful industry when you were a young child?  It is another whole blog topic, but there is a powerful lesson here.  Your team members, friends, family, AND children are watching and duplicating what You do!  Do your children or team members portray duplication like this…or do the stare at the phone in fear?

Tips on Duplication

• Do the amount of personal development you want your team to do.
• Do the amount of prospecting you want your team to do.
• Do the training and attend the events/webinars if you want your team to.
• Have integrity, trust, class, character and be honest, you will see it duplicated several levels down.
• Keep it simple!

 

Moving Forward

Without duplication, you and I have no future in network marketing.  You can enroll 1000 people, and without a duplicable system, you will never see the long term residual income you deserve.  I have just recently started to see duplication and it is a wonderful feeling…not just in the money, but in the happiness I’m seeing in others.

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

What is a Comfort Zone?

Do you avoid the daily activities you know you require to do to have success?  Have you ever considered listening to that little voice in your head that says, “I really should do this.”  You see, all the things you desire are just outside of your comfort zone.  People you know that have achieved massive success have done the things daily, that the unsuccessful people avoid.  Your comfort zone is that daily candy bar, not making the calls to share your opportunity, not talking to that person at the grocery store, putting that cleaning project off another day.  Start listening to that little voice and watch how your life improves over time.

My Former Comfort Zone

When I first joined my network marketing company in October 2010, I was living in the center of my comfort zone.  I was working ridiculous hours, drinking to relieve stress, eating unhealthy foods, avoiding my emotions, avoiding social situations and many other things detrimental to leading a good life.  Over the last year and a half I have left my former job and am full force with network/internet marketing.  I did the things necessary to relieve stress without the aid of booze.  I lost 40 pounds and quit smoking.  I have confronted and resolved all my emotions and continue to do so.  I (with the help of Donyel), have organized the closets/garage and completed several unresolved projects.  All the things that seemed insurmountable back then are so simple now.  I am able to face bigger and bigger challenges.

Some Tips To Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

• Commit to doing something EVERY day that is uncomfortable for you to do.  You will create a new neural pathway…Yes, comfort zones are biological, neurons that fire together, wire together.  Give the speech, make the eye contact, share the smile…whatever it is just do it.  You will find doing it becomes the new norm.
• Make a list of the things you know you should do and put a date of completion next to them…stick to the date!
• TODAY…look at your list of items to complete today, put a number 1 next to the item most difficult for you, 2 next to the second, and so on…  Now, start with number 1 and go down the list.  Do the item farthest outside of your comfort zone first!  HINT:  Prospecting is #1.  Check out yesterday’s blog, “How to Feel Wonderful“  It will enable you to feel really good about getting your list done!
• Spend your time with people that get out of, and push you out of your comfort zone.  A true friend is not someone who says you are ok just where you are.  Read “Circle of Influence” to learn more about who you associate with.

How To Feel Wonderful

Change Your Life Today

If there were some magic way to immediately feel wonderful, no matter what state you were in emotionally or mentally, what would you do to gain this knowledge?  How much money would you pay to learn this technique, really?  Would it make your day if I told you how?  Well, my friend, you are in for a treat!  Today I will show you how to create a state of bliss at moments notice…and even for events coming up in the future.  Let me start with telling you about submodalities.

What are Submodalities?

Submodalities, simply put, are the qualities of a thought.  When you think of something, your brain brings up a picture of it.  Think of something now, say, your favorite animal.  Do you see a picture of it or a video?  Is there sounds in the thought of it?  Is it in black and white or color, is the picture big or small?  Do you see the image from your eyes (associated), or are you in the picture/video (disassociated).  All of these qualities of a thought and more, are submodalities.  When you have control of these, and the ability to adjust them…you have power.

Where Did I Learn This Wonderful Technique?

 

I learned this amazing technique from the father and cocreator of NLP, Richard Bandler.  He has some great material for salespeople, network marketers, or anyone who desires to grow and become better.  The technique comes from his book, Get The Life You Want.  If I receive some feedback I will post on some other techniques in his book.

5 Steps to Feeling Wonderful

1  Think of a time that you felt wonderful

2  Close your eyes and imagine that time in vivid detail.  See the images clearly, hear the sounds loudly, remember the feelings as they were then.

3  Imagine yourself stepping into that experience and being in that memory as if it’s happening now.  See what you’d see, hear what you’d hear, feel how good you’d feel.  Make the colors stronger and brighter if that helps.  Notice how you were breathing back then, and breathe that way now.

4  Pay attention to the wonderful feeling in your body and get a sense of where the feeling starts, where it goes, and the direction it moves in.  Imagine taking control over the feeling and spinning it faster and faster and stronger and stronger through your body as the feelings increase.

5  Think of a time in the future where you could use these good feelings.  Spin them throughout your body as you think about the future and the things you are doing over the next few weeks.  Don’t be too surprised if you find yourself feeling wonderful for absolutely no reason!
